What inspired you to start vlogging your travels, and how has your journey evolved over time?
I started vlogging in the pandemic, so the second we were able to travel, I was itching to start making travel vlogs. I love sharing different adventures, food, parts of the world, and showcasing the journey to get somewhere.
I wasn’t someone who traveled a lot growing up, and I think the pandemic really shifted my view and inspired me to get out there and see as much of the world as I could, and being able to vlog it, and bring along fans, friends, and family, makes it feels like a personal travel diary that I get to look back on!

How do you choose your next travel destination?
It usually comes up out of the blue. I keep a running list of places I hope to visit, But I’m always down for a trip, so as an example, when my friends said “We’re thinking of going to Bali” I was like, let’s book it, let’s go! It wasn’t even really on my radar, and that’s the beauty of being open to traveling to new places with different people.
I try to be open to traveling anywhere. I also try to get to Europe once a year, specifically starting in London because I love that city so much, and I usually build a 10 day trip from there. I also have travels that I like to plan around things like events, concerts, weddings, or work, and usually try to extend the trip after that to make the most of it.

Can you share a challenging experience you faced while traveling and how you overcame it?
Recently I was in a surfing accident in Bali, and I had to get my first ever surgery, in a foreign country, quite literally on the other side of the world. That entire experience was very scary, and I was so lucky to have my friends by my side the whole time. I overcame it a few ways, one, having travel insurance, never been more grateful for it and I tell everyone how important it is to ensure you know your coverage and plan before a big trip. Two, I really just let myself focus on what I can control, I didn’t allow myself to think too much about how far from home I was, or how scary the situation was, I just focused on how I could get healthy, and get home as quickly as possible. I also didn’t allow that experience at the end of my trip cloud my vision of the trip, I LOVED Bali, and would go back in a heartbeat…I think I’m maybe just done with surfing!

What are your top three must-visit destinations for 2025?
- Nova Scotia: This province is my second home, but it’s also one of my favourite places to travel to. Between the food, people, and beauty of the atlantic ocean, if you haven’t been to Nova Scotia yet, take this as your sign to visit.
- Budapest, Hungary: I was lucky enough to spend 2 weeks in Budapest for work and I can honestly say it is one of my favourite cities in the world, it’s beautiful, but less busy than other major European cities like Paris. It had a great food and bar scene, and the weather was amazing.
- Bali, Indonesia – If you can make the trek, it’s worth it to visit Bali. Everything from the beaches, to the food, accommodations, and people were incredible. Trust me when I say the experience, and cost, is worth the 24 hour travel journey.

What’s a lesser-known app, product, or resource you swear by for making travel easier?
It’s not an app, but Stopovers or Long layovers! This is different than a typical layover where you sit in the airport for hours, but I love making the travel journey, the flying, part of the experience of the trip itself. Recently when I traveled to Thailand, I took a less direct route, to allow a stopover in London, this way I had 12 hours between landing, and my next flight, that allowed me to get out of the airport, leave my bags with a baggage storage company, and go explore one of my favourite cities! I wandered around, grabbed lunch, did some sight seeing, and felt like I lived a full travel experience, all because I left the airport.
It also breaks up the travel to a far destination like Thailand. I didn’t feel like the travel was so long because I had a full day trip in London to break it up.
This is definitely something I’ll be doing moving forward, routing through different cities, and allowing a mini day trip, within the travel days.
